Coloring Sustainability

April 23, 2008

You may know ex-Sierra Club president Adam Werbach for his controversial 2004 speech/autopsy “Is environmentalism dead?” Well, Mr. Werbach is at it again, this time announcing the birth of a new movement. Having taught Walmart how to go green, Werbach is ready to teach the world to go BLUE. By definition, a true BLUE is not only concerned about eco-sustainability, but also social, cultural, economic wellness. By creating “personal sustainability practices” such as quitting smoking, eating one less meat meal a week, and parking your car further from the store, Werbach believes the lessons of green can have a broader societal impact. Whoa adam, you just blue my mind. –Johnny
